Should the Constitution of Virginia be amended so that the tax exemption that is currently available to the surviving spouses of soldiers killed in action is also available to the surviving spouses of soldiers who died in the line of duty?

The Voter Registration Deadline for the November General and Special Election: Tuesday, October 15, 2024.
- At Registrar's Office - 5:00pm Check operating hours for DMV or other state designated voter registration agencies authorized to receive voter registration applications.
- By mail - Postmarked by October 15, 2024.
- Online Registration via Virginia Department of Elections website - 11:59pm. Applications that are required to be printed and delivered to the registrar should be treated as regular mailed in applications (postmarked by October 15, 2024). The October 15th, 5:00pm deadline would apply if they are submitted in-person at the Registrar's Office.
Early Voting starts: Friday, September 20, 2024
Early Voting continues: September 20th – November 2nd: Monday through Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm (closed on October 14th, 2024) and on Saturday, October 26th 9:00am-5:00pm/ Saturday, November 2nd 9:00am-5:00pm.
Early voting takes place in the Harrisonburg City Hall Atrium, 409 South Main Street.

Requested absentee ballots for the November 5th General and Special Election will start to go out by September 19th.
The last day to request a ballot by mail is Friday, October 25th, 2024 at 5:00pm.
The last day for mailed ballots to be received by mail is Friday, November 8th (if they are postmarked by November 5th, 2024)*
The last day for mailed ballots to be dropped off in person is Tuesday, November 5th at 7:00pm **
*The Ballot can also be returned in person at the Registrar's office but only by the voter, or to your polling location on Election Day.
**Ballots must be returned to the locality from which they were mailed out.
